Casimir the Cat

As every pet owner knows, life with feathered or furry friends lurches from one extreme to the other. And this is precisely the realm of Hilmar Klutes droll tales of the escapades of one man and his dog (or cat), picking up where his adventures of Winston the dog left off. He finds himself the accidental owner of a dog and then a cat - or rather two cats: Casimir and Tiffy. And so family and dog begin to orbit cross-eyed Casimir, ministering to his nutritional and other needs, respecting his sleeping patterns, dealing with his dispositions and indispositions. Their efforts and attempts at empathy are often very funny indeed. Hilmar Klutes account of how humans and (other) animals live together is thoroughly entertaining and unfailingly funny. He introduces us to the bizarre menagerie we all have inside us and which we can rediscover in this most enjoyable of books.
